On the rally, the grassroots leaders of the BKS said that if landless women have the khash land in their own, it will significantly improve their life. The ownership of the khash land will empower them economically and morally in the family and in their society. Other rights are important but for Bangladeshi rural women, the land rights are number one, leaders said in the rally.
Leaders also said that Women are the repressed and deprived community in society. BKF and BKS are in a constant fight to end violence against women and against all human beings in Bangladesh. Achieving land rights as well as food sovereignty for the landless and peasants are the prime target of our campaigns.
Women are breaking the silence and coming together for the struggle more and regularly and this is giving the hope for a better future to us. In the rally, leaders expressed their commitment to continue the struggle for their own rights and interests.
